Students in Division 3 recently finished their Doodle 4 Google Canada Scratch projects.  What is Scratch you may ask?

“With Scratch, you can program your own interactive stories, games, and animations — and share your creations with others in the online community.

Scratch helps young people learn to think creatively, reason systematically, and work collaboratively — essential skills for life in the 21st century.”

Our theme was celebrating Canada’s 150th with a view towards what Canada might look like 150 years from now. We were inspired by the Doodle 4 Google Canada contest.

Students imagined what the future might be and used images and movement in their Scratch project. They used block code for all the animations.  Here are a few of their projects. We hope you enjoy playing with them and maybe be inspired to try Scratch yourself!
